The Building Inspection Department for the City of Paris is responsible for issuing building permits for new structures, additions, remodels or repairs, carport/garages, storage buildings, mobile homes, signs, swimming pools, change of use or occupancy, temporary structures, as well as plumbing, mechanical and gas permits. The Building Inspector conducts inspections on all residential and commercial construction projects inside the city limits. The Building Inspector is ultimately responsible for all building/development/codes inspections.

The Administrative Coordinator to Building, Codes, and Stormwater is responsible for administrative work in the Building, Codes and Stormwater Department and may serve as assistant to the Building / Codes and Stormwater Officials. Duties also include other support services under the general supervision of the Building and Codes Inspector.
Codes Enforcement Officer

Duties & Responsibilities:The Codes Enforcement Officer is responsible for all Property Maintenance Codes violations in the City of Pairs. The Codes Enforcement Officer primarily inspects and enforces regulations found in the Paris Municipal Code with regard to Property Maintenance Codes dealing with, but not limited to, grass, junk and abandoned/junk vehicles.
